This La Sierra University Library yearbook collection includes yearbooks from 1924 to present. El Serrano (The Mountaineer) was the name given to the first five yearbooks (1924-1928). With the 1930's and the onset of the Great Depression, administration suspended yearbook publication as a cost-saving measure. A few creative students however, decided to redesign the yearbook to appear as the final "Commencement Edition of the The College Criterion, the school newspaper (1929-1931). In 1939, the student body voted to print the Meteor, a name that lasted through 1972. The current title, Visions, was first published in 1978. This yearbook was dedicated to Meredith Jobe, the yearbook staff, and the 600 subscribers. This is the first edition of Visions, for the Loma Linda University-La Sierra campus.
